Digital Content and Media Expert (DCME) Course
Sunday December 8, 2024 8:00am - 5:00pm PST
No matter what segment of the digital signage industry that a person participates in, one fact that we can all agree upon is that content is critical. It is the method to deliver on the messages set forth in the objectives that should be the central focus points of each display that is deployed.

The Digital Content and Media Expert (DCME) program defines content and explains how content can be an effective communication tool.

It explores the history of communication and content and takes a closer look at what content can and cannot do.

The DCME looks at the impact and relevance of content, emphasizing the need to begin by clearly articulating the objectives. Then, it shows how to combine objectives and content to engage the viewer. It points out the necessity to create a strategy before moving forward and explores both applications and venues.

The course discusses the physical properties of content and introduces rules for good content design. It then reviews examples of the costs of content production, and various options for outsourcing.

Wrapping up, the DCME discusses the business side of content, and how analytics play into it as it relates to return on investment.

Course fee: $495 (late registration: $595), which can be added to DSE registration

Note: The DCME exam will be offered online following the course. Review materials will also be available. After successfully passing the exam, you will receive a digital certificate of completion.

Digital Signage Installation Tour
Sunday December 8, 2024 8:30am - 12:00pm PST
Join us as we take a look at some of the latest digital signage installations in Las Vegas: Atomic Golf and ARTE MUSEUM.

Atomic Golf is a four-story entertainment factory that breaks the boundaries of what is known about golf. A brand new Las Vegas attraction that opened on March 22, 2024, there are digital experiences and messaging from the parking lot to the tee line.

d'strict introduced ARTE MUSEUM LAS VEGAS, an immersive art exhibition space, arriving for the first time in the United States, in November 2023. ARTE MUSEUM LAS VEGAS showcases works inspired by nature under the theme of ETERNAL NATURE. The exhibition incorporates both the natural landscapes and the cultural backdrop of the city. Visitors can also enjoy the ARTE TEA BAR for a unique teahouse experience enriched with media art. Each piece of artwork delivers not just a vivid visual journey, but also a multi-sensory engagement—from enveloping soundscapes to tailor-made aromas—that amounts to a completely immersive experience.

Transportation will be provided and will depart from the Las Vegas Convention Center.

This is a ticketed event that can be added to registration. Cost: $199.
